Product Overview
SpaGuard® Natural Spa Enzyme™ is a natural enzyme formulation for spas and hot tubs. It controls odors and scum line build-up caused by oils, lotions, greases and other organic contaminants, so the spa stays cleaner longer and the water stays clearer. The label says it is compatible with bromine and chlorine sanitizers and oxidizers (shocks). The bottle holds 1 quart (32 fl oz, 946 mL).
Shake well before use, because the product may contain sediment. The dose is 1 fl oz (2 tablespoons, or 4 capfuls) per 100 gallons, and the cap doubles as a measure. Pour it directly into the water with the circulation system running, and add it weekly in residential spas. In heavily used spas, increase how often you add it to two or three times a week, but do not increase the dose. Spa water should be warm before you add it; colder water can increase foaming, which subsides once the water reaches at least 95°F. If foaming occurs, SpaGuard® Anti Foam can control it.
The label carries the WARNING signal word: eye irritant, may be harmful if swallowed. It contains aluminum chlorohydrate. Avoid contact with eyes, avoid breathing vapors, wash thoroughly after use, and do not mix it with other chemicals. Keep it in the original tightly closed container, out of reach of children and pets. It does not sanitize the water, so keep up your normal sanitizer routine.
