Genuine Leisure Time Product
Authentic Leisure Time® Enzyme, item SGQ (UPC 785336302515), in a 32 fl oz bottle.
Product Overview
Leisure Time® Enzyme is a weekly spa water treatment made from a blend of enzymes that break down the body oils, lotions, and other organic residue that cause scum lines and odors in hot tub water. Instead of letting that residue coat your spa shell at the waterline and clog your filter, Enzyme helps digest it in the water, which also reduces how much scrubbing and filter cleaning your spa needs. This 32 fl oz bottle is Leisure Time item SGQ (UPC 785336302515).
Dosing is simple and the same for any spa size: add 1 oz of Enzyme for every 250 gallons of spa water. If you already have a scum line, repeat that dose daily until the line is gone, then switch to a weekly dose of 1 oz per 250 gallons to keep buildup from returning. Pour it directly into the spa water with the circulation running. According to Leisure Time, your spa is ready to use just 15 minutes after adding Enzyme. As a quick guide, a 250-gallon spa uses 1 oz per dose, a 400-gallon spa about 1.6 oz, and a 500-gallon spa 2 oz, so a 32 oz bottle provides 16 weekly doses for a 500-gallon spa.
Leisure Time Enzyme is compatible with chlorine, bromine, ozone, and biguanide sanitizer systems, so it fits into almost any hot tub care routine. It is a water conditioner, not a sanitizer or shock, so keep your regular sanitizer and shock schedule in place and test your water with spa test strips before adding chemicals. The product is not classified as hazardous under OSHA's Hazard Communication Standard; store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place, keep it out of reach of children, and rinse with plenty of water if it gets in your eyes or on your skin.
