The Sundance®/Jacuzzi® Temperature Sensor O‑Ring (part #6540‑228) is the OEM replacement seal used on temperature sensors installed in Sundance® and Jacuzzi® spa systems manufactured from 2002 onward. It’s sized to fit sensor models #6600‑166, #6600‑167, #6600‑181, and #6600‑751, so it covers the great majority of Sundance®/Jacuzzi® sensor housings from this era rather than being limited to a single spa line.
The O‑ring is made from EDPM rubber with a Teflon coating, a combination chosen for its resistance to spa chemicals, heat, and constant moisture exposure. At 0.662″ inner diameter and 0.210″ thickness, it seats precisely around the sensor stem to keep water out of the sensor housing while allowing the sensor to read water temperature accurately. A worn, hardened, or cracked O‑ring is a common cause of small leaks around the sensor and can also let moisture affect the sensor’s readings, leading to inconsistent heater cycling. Replacing this small but important seal is a quick fix: the compact, single‑piece design slides into place around the sensor without special tools, and because it’s sized to Sundance®/Jacuzzi®’s own sensor specifications, it restores a leak‑free seal and reliable temperature control the first time.
