Hot Tub Things® MicroClean Outer Filter Cartridges are engineered to fit Sundance® 880 Series spas built 2024 and later, cross-referencing OEM part number 6473-452S. As the outer stage of Sundance's two-part MicroClean Ultra II filtration system, this pleated cartridge works alongside the matching inner filter cartridge (6473-453S) to capture debris before it reaches your pump and heater.
Because it's built to match the fit and flow of the OEM part, it drops directly into your existing filter compartment with no modification required. The outer cartridge can be rinsed periodically between full inner-cartridge changes, which helps extend its service life between replacements.
Most spa filters need replacing every 12-18 months depending on usage and water care, though this newer 2024+ part doesn't yet have an independently published service-life figure — use water flow and clarity as your guide. This filter meets or exceeds OEM specifications while offering better value and availability than ordering direct from Sundance.
