The Power of pH Down
Keep hot tub water in check. Hot Tub Things pH and Alkalinity Down helps you obtain the proper balance needed to fully enjoy your hot tub.Hot Tub Things pH and Alkalinity Down is designed to lower both alkalinity and pH of your spa or hot tub. Ideally, the total alkalinity should be between 80 and 150 ppm, and pH between 7.2 and 7.8.
Use: pH Down should be used as necessary when pH levels are above 7.8.
Note: For best results, dissolve granular products first by adding to a small, container of water. Then, apply the solution to the spa water.
Make sure all equipment is OFF.
Add 1/4 oz. (1-1/2 tsp.) pH Down for every 500 gallons of spa water.
Turn ON circulation system for 30 minutes.
Retest water. If pH is still above 7.8, repeat steps 1-3.

Instructions: Float one SCUMBALL in your small hot tub, or two in your large hot tub. Make sure SCUMBALLS do not get sucked into your filter area;(most spas have a screen or gate to prevent this). It is safe to leave SCUMBALLS in your tub 24/7 . When a SCUMBALL has absorbed oil and lotion, remove it from your hot tub, squeeze it dry, and rinse the sponge in clean water. If the SCUMBALL starts to turn yellow or brown, throw it away.

What if I use regular test strips with my FROG product? Regular test strips will be confusing because they will read a low free chlorine level and a high total chlorine level which normally means it’s time to shock. It is very important that you check the Total Alkalinity and pH of the hot tub at least once a week to make sure it is staying in the correct range of 80-20 for TA and 7.2 to 7.8 for pH. Directions
Use an accurate test method to determine pH.
Determine the required amount of SpaGuard pH Increaser need to adjust the pH to maintain a reading of 7.2 to 7.6.

Restest pH and adjust as necessary.
A good maintenance habit is to test acid/alkali demand periodically.

Using rest results determine the required amount of SpaGuard Total Alkalinity Increaser needed to adjust the alkalinity to maintain a reading of 150 ppm.

The Frog @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low yet safe chlorine level for weeks. Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor refills continue to maintain the same level, which is up to 75% less than hot tubs using Dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating. It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing so there is no frustrating yo-yo chlorine levels. This time-released method is also why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub. When the SmartChlor Cartridge is depleted, the Floating Frog will flip over as a visual reminder to replace the empty cartridge with a new one.
This product contains three individually-wrapped SmartChlor refills. These are the grey hemispheres that float below the blue mineral "head" of the Floating Frog. You must already have the Spa Frog @Ease System to use these cartridges. SmartChlor alone is not enough to safely sanitize your hot tub; you must have the Frog minerals as well. There is no such thing as a "mineral refill." When your blue mineral cartridge runs out, it is time to buy a new Frog @Ease System.
