Error: "Replace Clearray" message
The "Error: Replace ClearRay" message on your hot tub usually means it’s time to change the ClearRay® UV bulb. Often shown as “blb” or a similar code, this alert indicates that the bulb has reached the end of its effective life and should be replaced to ensure continued water sanitation and purification.

Never look directly at a UV bulb unless you are certain it is turned off.

To safeguard your eyes, you must disconnect power to your hot tub before you replace the bulb. Simply turning off your hot tub is not enough. Oil from your fingers can degrade the delicate coating on the UV lightbulb and reduce its lifespan, so each bulb includes a disposable latex glove for proper handling. Nearly all Sundance and Jacuzzi models use this CLEARRAY bulb, the CLEARRAY XL. Your owner's manual will tell you if your tub requires the smaller, "non XL" CLEARRAY bulb.

Directions

Safety First: Turn off the power to the hot tub by flipping the breaker switch.
Locate the ClearRay® Housing: Open the hot tub's cabinet panel and find the ClearRay® system's enclosure.
Remove the Enclosure Cover: Unscrew or remove the cover to access the UV bulb.
Disconnect the Bulb: Carefully detach the bulb from its socket.
Remove the Old Bulb: Gently pull out the old UV bulb.
Install the New Bulb: Insert the new UV bulb into the quartz tube, being careful not to touch the glass surface with your bare hands (oil on your skin can shorten the bulb's life).
Reconnect and Reassemble: Reconnect the bulb to its socket, replace the cover, and close the cabinet.
Turn the Power On: Flip the breaker back on and reset the timer on the hot tub's control panel.
