The Sundance®/Jacuzzi® CLEARRAY XL Quartz Tube (part #6472‑859) is an OEM‑grade quartz sleeve that protects the ClearRay XL UV‑C bulb used in Sundance® and Jacuzzi® spas built from 2012 onward. The sleeve sits between the UV bulb and the surrounding water, allowing UV light to pass through while shielding the bulb itself from direct water contact—precision‑engineered for optimal UV transmission and water clarity.
Made from durable, thermal‑shock‑resistant quartz, the sleeve is built to handle the heat cycling and moisture exposure of continuous spa operation without clouding or cracking. Over time, mineral buildup and general wear can impair UV light transmission through an older sleeve, reducing the sanitizer’s effectiveness at neutralizing bacteria and viruses in circulating water—replacing the sleeve restores that UV output. #6472‑859 replaces the earlier part #6472‑857 and is compatible with all ClearRay XL systems from 2012 forward.
Installation reuses the existing grommet: the old sleeve slips out and the new one slips in, with the original UV bulb and grommet assembly reinstalled around it—no separate hardware or tools required.
