Leisure Time® Sodium Bromide establishes an immediate bromide reserve for use with Leisure Time Brom Tabs, supporting a fully bromine-based spa sanitizing system. This granular formula is 99% sodium bromide and dissolves quickly in spa or hot tub water, making it ideal for spa start-ups or after water refills — adding ½ oz per 100 gallons builds an instant 30 ppm bromide base. As an odor-free alternative to traditional chlorine-based systems, it reduces harsh chemical smells while supporting clean, soothing water quality with minimal ongoing maintenance.
Sodium Bromide is compatible with all bromine sanitizing systems, but it must be used in conjunction with a bromine sanitizer (such as Leisure Time Brom Tabs) for full disinfection effectiveness — on its own, it creates the bromide reserve rather than an active sanitizer. Dosing is straightforward: add ½ oz per 100 gallons of spa water, following label directions for larger or smaller spas.
