Product Overview
The Sundance®/Jacuzzi® MicroClean® Filter Adapter (#6540-503) is a durable plastic joiner used in the original two-stage MicroClean filtration system found in Sundance® 850™ Series spas built 2002-2005, 780™ Series spas built 2006-2012, and Select™ Series spas built 2011-2012. It connects the pleated base filter (#6540-502) to the disposable top filter (#6540-501), staging them together into one functional filter stack.
The adapter itself is sold separately from the filters it joins — it doesn't filter water on its own, but it's essential for the system to work correctly. Without it, the pleated and disposable filter stages can slip out of alignment inside the filter well, reducing surface contact and filtration efficiency. The adapter measures approximately 8.5" in diameter and is molded from durable spa-grade plastic that holds up to repeated cleaning and regular water exposure.
Installation is straightforward: position the adapter in the filter housing, insert the pleated filter into it, and stack the disposable filter on top before reinstalling the housing cover. If your spa has since moved to Sundance's later combined MICROCLEAN® Ultra cartridge system, this two-piece adapter setup is no longer used — check your spa's filter housing to confirm which system it has before ordering.
