Sundance® 880™ Series MicroClean Ultra II Outer Filter Cartridge (2024+) 6473-452S
Check Compatibility Before You Buy
The Sundance® 6473-452S is the pleated outer cartridge of the MicroClean® Ultra II filtration system Sundance introduced on 880™ Series hot tubs in January 2024. It fits the 2024-and-newer Altamar, Aspen, Cameo, Capri, Marin, Optima and Vistamar. The outer cartridge traps the larger debris, while the matching inner cartridge (6473-453S) captures finer particles; together they make up the 6541-964S complete assembly, which Sundance rates at 130 square feet of filtration.
This cartridge is not interchangeable with the earlier MicroClean Ultra filters. 880 Series spas built from 2009 through 2023 use the 6473-165S outer and 6473-164S inner (set 6541-397S). Some very early 2024 spas may still have the previous system, so if you're unsure which filter you have, check the old cartridge or send us your serial number before ordering.
Because the outer cartridge is a pleated, cleanable filter, rinse it regularly with a garden hose and soak it periodically in a spa cartridge cleaner, then rinse thoroughly. Avoid laundry detergent, bleach, household cleaners and pressure washers, which can damage the pleats. Replace it when the pleats are torn or matted or it no longer cleans up after a soak, and replace the disposable inner cartridge on its own, more frequent schedule.
