Use Oxidizing Shock When:

• You want to soak soon after treatment (15-minute wait time)
• Performing weekly maintenance oxidation

Use Chlorine Shock When:

• Sanitizer levels are very low or depleted
• Water has turned green or has algae
• You're opening the spa after extended non-use
• You need to sanitize and oxidize simultaneously
• Dealing with severe contamination

Many spa owners keep both types on hand, using oxidizing shock for weekly maintenance and chlorine shock for heavy-duty sanitization when needed.

For Cloudy Water: Add 2-3 tablespoons per 250 gallons, run jets for 15 minutes, then retest and adjust as needed.

Application Instructions:

1. Test and balance pH to 7.2-7.6 before shocking
2. With jets running, broadcast shock evenly across water surface
3. Circulate for 15 minutes
4. Wait 15 minutes before entering (test to ensure levels are safe)
5. Retest sanitizer levels and adjust if needed
