The Hot Tub Things® FROG® @ease® Floating SmartChlor® Starter Kit is a complete water-care solution for any spa that does not use an in-line cartridge holder.
It features FROG®’s self-regulating SmartChlor® technology, which maintains a steady 0.5 – 1.0 ppm chlorine level for softer, cleaner water without daily dosing.
The Floating System combines a Mineral Cartridge (4-month use) with a SmartChlor® Cartridge (3 – 4 weeks use) that automatically dispenses chlorine as needed.
Included Hot Tub Things® balancing products — pH & Alkalinity Up, pH & Alkalinity Down, Metal Out, and Oxidizing Spa Shock — provide complete control of pH, alkalinity, and metal content for balanced, sparkling water.
The FROG® Jump Start oxidizer activates the system instantly, while the included test strips simplify weekly monitoring.
Ideal for portable spas, hot tubs, and inflatable models up to 600 gallons.

Directions

Fill the spa with fresh water and turn off jets before adding chemicals.

Add Hot Tub Things® Metal Out (2 oz per 250 gal) and circulate for 30 minutes to remove metals.

Test pH and alkalinity; adjust with Hot Tub Things® pH & Alkalinity Up or Down until pH is 7.2 – 7.8 and alkalinity 80 – 120 ppm.

Open the FROG® @ease® Floating System and insert the Mineral Cartridge on one side and SmartChlor® Cartridge on the other.

Twist to lock and place the floater in the center of the spa.

Add the FROG® Jump Start oxidizer packet to activate sanitation and run jets for 15 minutes with the cover open.

Use Hot Tub Things® Oxidizing Spa Shock (2 oz per 300 gal) weekly to keep water fresh.

Replace the SmartChlor® Cartridge every 3 – 4 weeks and the Mineral Cartridge every 4 months or at each water change.
