Q: How much clearance does this require behind the spa deck?

A: Only 6″ (15 cm) clearance behind the spa is needed, with approximately 5″ clearance on each side.

Q: Is it compatible with round or corner radius spas?

A: No—it's designed for square or rectangular spas. It will not fit spas with corner radii larger than 12″.

Q: What is the WindLock system?

A: It prevents damage from wind by locking the shock in place during cover closure, reducing failure risk.

Confirm that your spa is fully sunken or flush with a surrounding deck and does not have an exposed cabinet for side mounting.

Measure and mark bracket locations approximately 6 inches from the back edge of the spa and centered vertically against the deck frame.

Secure the mounting brackets directly to the deck surface using lag screws or bolts appropriate for your deck material (wood or composite).

Assemble and attach the lifter arms, center coupler, and hydraulic shocks according to the instruction diagram—ensuring the gas shocks are oriented with the cylinder (body) on top.

Attach the cover lifter bar and ensure alignment with the spa cover’s fold seam.

Install the WindLock safety system and optional TowelMate towel hanger.

Test the lifting motion, adjust tension and bracket position if necessary, and tighten all hardware fully.
