The Jacuzzi® PROCLARITY® Depth Load Filter Cartridge (part #6473‑161J) uses deep-absorbency microfiber media to capture ultra-fine particles for crystal-clear water. Designed for 2012+ J‑400 and J‑500 Series spas and certain J‑300 models upgraded to ProClarity™ filtration. Replace every 3–4 months.

  • OEM ProClarity™ depth-load filter cartridge (part #6473‑161J), engineered with ultra-dense microfiber media to capture microscopic debris and polish spa water clarity

  • Designed for use in Jacuzzi® J‑400 and J‑500 Series tubs (2012+), as well as selectable J‑300 Collection models upgraded to ProClarity™ systems

  • Absorbs particles up to ten times finer than standard pleated filters—enhancing filtration performance in multi-stage systems

  • Disposable: do not rinse or reuse; replace every 3–4 months (or roughly 90 days) for optimal performance

  • Must be installed with solid side up, above the plumbing grate, paired with a pleated pre-filter

Q: Which Jacuzzi® models use this cartridge?

A: Compatible with J‑400 and J‑500 Series spas (2012+), and select J‑300 models upgraded to ProClarity™ filtration (e.g., J‑335, J‑365, J‑375, J‑385, LX collection).

Q: How often must it be replaced?

A: Replace every 90 days (3–4 months); rinsing or cleaning will damage performance.

Q: Does it work alone?

A: No—this is only the depth-load filter. Use with the matching pleated pre-filter (#6473‑157J) in a dual-stage configuration.

Directions

Turn off spa power before servicing.

Open the ProClarity filter canister and remove the pleated pre-filter.

Lift out the old depth load cartridge (6473‑161J) and discard.

Install the new cartridge solid side up, over the plumbing grate.

Reinstall pleated filter and seal the canister.

Restore power and resume spa operation.
