Use Less Chlorine with the Power of SmartChlor
The @ease System combines the proven FROG mineral formula for killing bacteria with SmartChlor Technology that maintains a consistently low chlorine level for weeks. Unlike normal chlorine that is used up when you get in, SmartChlor continues to maintain the same level of sanitizer. That level is nearly 75% less than hot tubs using Dichlor (standard hot tub chlorine). That’s why we call it self-regulating. It goes to work when the hot tub needs sanitizing. That way, you have no frustrating “yo-yo” chlorine levels. This time-release method explains why less shock is needed to maintain the hot tub. When the SmartChlor Cartridge is depleted, the frog will flip over as a visual reminder to replace the empty cartridge with a new one. The @Ease System is the most popular way to keep your hot tub water safe, soft, and clear without daily chemical dosing and shocking.
If this is your first time using the Frog @ease System, consider our Hot Tub Things @ease Starter Kit with Frog Maintain. It provides a full set of chemicals for filling, balancing, and sanitizing your tub.
This Spa Frog @Ease Floating Sanitizing System includes one blue mineral cartridge and one grey SmartChlor chlorine cartridge. The blue mineral cartridge lasts for about three months. The grey SmartChlor cartridge lasts for 3–4 weeks depending on the size of your hot tub. If you like the Frog @Ease System, you’ll probably want to buy a three-pack of SmartChlor Refill Cartridges.
There is no such thing as a “Mineral Refill.” When the blue half of the Spa Frog is empty, it’s time to buy a new @ease System (that’s this page). Each @Ease System comes with a blue cartridge, a grey cartridge, a set of Frog-brand test strips, and a packet of chlorinating shock oxidizer, plus a complete set of English instructions and Spanish instructions.
Note: The blue mineral cartridge does not come wrapped. It is normal for this cartridge to have a fine coating of dust; this dust is harmless. The SmartChlor (grey) cartridge does come wrapped for your safety.
