6ch-940
Unicel® 6CH-940 – 45 Sq Ft Waterway Front Access Skimmer Spa Filter Cartridge – Replaces 817-0050

The Unicel® 6CH-940 is a 45 sq ft replacement filter cartridge for hot tubs with a Waterway front access skim filter. It replaces the Waterway 817-0050 cartridge and cross-references Pleatco PWW50P3, Filbur FC-0359, Aber 03FIL1400, Vita Spas PWW 50, Rec Warehouse 378902 and Custom Molded Products 25252. The cartridge measures 6 inches in outside diameter and 8-1/4 inches long, with an injection-molded 1-1/2" SAE threaded end cap on one end and a semi-circular handle on the other.

Inside, 225 evenly spaced pleats of 3 oz Reemay polyester media trap dirt, oils and debris. Unicel builds the 6CH-940 in the USA and backs it with a 1-year manufacturer warranty. Dealers list it for spas from many brands that use the Waterway skimmer, including Viking, Vita, Aber, Catalina, Dynasty, Leisure Bay, Sunrise, Santa Barbara and Clearwater. Waterway's 100 sq ft front access skim filter takes two of these cartridges side by side. Because many spas share this skimmer, compare your old cartridge's size and thread before ordering; the part number is also printed on the end caps.

If you're replacing a discontinued Unicel C-6601, Unicel's replacement guide lists the 6CH-940 when the skimmer's PAD adapter is SAE threaded, after removing the threaded PAD adapter from the skim well. Rinse the cartridge between the pleats with a garden hose regularly and soak it periodically in a spa filter cleaner. Keeping a second cartridge lets one dry completely while the other is in service.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0674/1570/3864/files/Unicel6CH-94045Sq.Ft.WaterwayHotTub_SpaReplacementFilterCartridge.png?v=1792102372
